Thought we had enough crazy for one week? HA! Silly fools. It never ends here!

Last night the little one started to stir around 1:45 am. This never means anything good for me. After tossing and turning and drinks of water and trips to the bathroom he decided he needed to educate me on how to be a pretend butterfly. “Mommy, put your hands behind your head and flap your arms like this! Now you can be a butterfly!” at 2 AM y’all. It’s hard to be mad at pure innocence and joy though…

Turns out after he let me fall back to sleep he summoned his father to assist him with brushing his teeth… at 4 am. The kid has plans guys.

After an all nighter, little man fell asleep on the bus on the way back from school and slept for over 2 hours. I guess being a butterfly educator with clean teeth really takes it out of a guy. I’m super jealous of the nap, too. I could certainly use one.

Tonight’s dinner will be simple and adulting will be kept to a minimum. It’s now pouring rain so I can’t get this kid outside to run out energy, what do you do with your kids when the weather is crappy and you need to wear them out? All ideas welcome. Also, are there any essential oils safe to use on kids that also have Ambien in them? Asking for a friend…

  1. Build an indoor fort and they can’t touch the floor! Or last one to stop running on the spot gets a double scoop of ice team!! 🤷‍♀️😊
